Manage Access Control with Permissions
How the permissions work
Permissions are grouped under the following categories:
- Sales Overview
- Financial Overview
- Takealot Offers
- Takealot Sales
- Takealot Transactions
- Company Notifications
- Company Members
- Company Settings
- Billing
- Subscription
- Customer Invoices
For each section listed above, permissions are assigned progressively, meaning a member can have only one of the three following combinations:
- View
- View and Edit
- View, Edit and Delete
Not all sections have all permissions available. For example, there is nothing that can be "Deleted" under "Billing", it can only be Viewed and Edited. If a user does not have at least "View" access for a given category then that part of the app will be hidden from them.
Updating permissions
Each member in your company has their access limited based on the permissions assigned to them by the company owner.

Members that have the "Edit" permission for "Company Members" are also allowed to update other team members' permissions.
To update a member's permissions, open the Settings for a Company and navigate to the "Team" section in the top left. After that, select the member and click "Update Permissions".
Company Owners
By default, the user that created the company is the owner. There can only be one company owner at any time. The company owner has full access and does not require any permissions to be set for them.
If necessary, it's also possible to transfer ownership of a company to another member. See Managing companies for more details.

If another member requires full access, it can be accomplished by granting them all the permissions available.
